Grieving Moms Resurfacing Groups

Support Groups

GMFH groups are for moms who’ve lost a child and are searching for hope and healing. This is a good place to link arms with other moms who are on this grieving journey. Your group will journey together for twelve weeks with the book, Resurfacing, written by Jacke Rose, formerly known as Jacke Van Woerkom.

Zoom Groups

Summers are so busy for everyone.  We will  not be offering new zoom groups June-August.  Groups will be posted  in August for September/October start!  We still have the Thursday ongoing group avaiable through the summer if you want to join in!

Thursdays at 5pm PST – ongoing group

**Please put the group dates and times on your calendar, make reminders of the meetings and attend if you sign up. We have had many moms join a group and never show up. It is disheartening to our leaders who have set aside time to facilitate the meetings for you.  The leader would appreciate a text or email if you know you’re not attending. We want to be here for you and lead you toward hope and healing.

Average group time is 60-90 minutes once a week for 12 weeks. Zoom group is open to join until the second meeting then will be closed.

Groups above are updated often – check back for more options

Please note  that  all times are Pacific Time Zone  (add 1 hr for Mountain Time, add 2 hrs for Central Time, add 3 hrs for Eastern Time)

An offer of hope at a devastating time in my life

When my son died, my world went dark. The Resurfacing book helped me to find my way through the frozen darkness and offered a way back to hope. The descriptions were so true to what I was going through. The content and the support of other moms who understand what I’m feeling have made a remarkable difference in my grief journey. I thank God for inspiring Jacke to take her own loss and use it to help so many others.

(A) Vital tool to finding hope

This book helped me get through the loss of my son. It provides direction, hope and realistic ideas to work through the overwhelming grief of losing a child. Worth the price and most definitely worth the read. Still missing my favorite boy Brendan, but trying to still live life fully while still remembering his beautiful memories.

Support for the worst kind of grief.

I have gone through the Resurfacing workbook a few times now with a group of grieving moms, and it has helped me immensely. Only another mom who has lost a child can ever begin to understand that depth of grief.
